Last Spring I cleared out all of the shoes from the shelves in my wardrobe and if they hadn’t been worn in a year, they were donated. I was deep in a decluttering phase, but when keeping our utmost favorite things, that includes shoes, too. This cleared up a lot of space, so I’m doing it again this spring.
When I look at what I wear everyday…it’s sneakers. After years of trying various brands I found one that’s supportive no matter what I’m doing. Whether I’m standing in front of a computer, walking, or running errands, my favored brand is considered Vintage Nike and it’s the Pegasus Zoom 36.
I like to wear a variety of colors, so when I saw a silver pair with yellow laces on Postmark, I started having fits. Diving deeper, in 2019, these were designed for the New Orleans Saints, but I really liked the look of them and added them to my favorites. Within minutes, the seller lowered the price, but my daughter has taught me the magic of the counteroffer. I responded way below the listed price and he countered to meet me halfway. I decided to pause there and go on with my day.
The pause for me is giving God room to move. I have a budget for these sneakers and these had dropped well below budget, but by the time I came back to my computer the seller had decided to match my daring offer! The timestamp on the notification said, 33 minutes ago. This made me wonder what other good things God has in store if I’d just back off and give Him room for at least 33 minutes.
