It’s still morning, but I spent most of my time with work, which is unusual for me, but the idea of getting it done and having the rest of my day open sounds phenomenal. It’s a cloudy, drizzly day, so stretched across the bed reading is on the agenda.

I’m curious to know if you’ve seen the latest man craze, on social media, regarding women of a certain age? It’s like they think they have us figured out and are giving us praise, while picking on men. I’m not sure how I feel about it, because no one is to blame for my single status. I just haven’t connected with the one who lights me up.

Here’s an example:

The women are going wild over these posts and I’m sorry to break it to them, but in true social media form…they are trying to reel us in to sell something. I tested my theory and it worked. Anytime you leave a comment you’re automatically added to their automation, so I added a brief comment and here’s what I received.

“Hey Barb, just saw you in the comments. It looks like you got a lot of value from that, but I went sooo much deeper on my masterclass, Secrets to Attracting Alpha Males, ONLY!” I clicked ‘No thanks’, and do we really use the term Alpha anymore?

Next message: “Oh okay…well what about the ‘7 Traps Empaths Must NEVER Ignore’? This one isn’t for everybody, though. Only women who sometimes empathize to a fault and put others before themselves until the relationship becomes one-sided. Want to watch it? And this one is free as well.” “Nope”

Watching some other reels of these men, they often stress that maybe we’re tired and recite a list of everything we’re tired of. That’s not quite it either because at this age, we should be tired, but we’re more sensitive to what makes us feel that way. They’re not really helping with the whole tired thing by chasing us around, but they have a point…we are tired…and the list is long.
