In this post here I shared the ambitious idea of leaving my Bougainvillea inside through the summer. It had done well being in over the winter and I was curious if it would thrive indoors during it’s blooming season.
Well, that was my crazy unleashed, because do you know how big a Bougainvillea can get? It was a fun thought, but that post was published mid-March and in May it moved outside. That plant grew like crazy, and took up so much space, but didn’t bloom indoors. I checked it frequently to see if there were any signs of a bloom, but there were none. It wasn’t until it moved to it’s natural habitat that it continued to grow and offer an abundance of blooms.
This week I snipped a few stems and brought them inside and snapped this photo after noticing how a few of my favorite things had gathered all in one place to evoke a smile. The Bougainvillea is thriving outdoors, but during the summer months I thrive indoors. That’s like having the best of both worlds.

I’d love to hear your thoughts.
