Working from home I get hungry, but it’s hard to stop and fix something nourishing. I don’t get hungry early, so before noon, I’ll drink a Kachava and that get’s me through to an afternoon snack, or early dinner. Drinking tons of water keeps me hydrated, but it also curbs cravings.
If I spend the morning working in the yard, I want something more substantial than a protein drink. I prepared this overnight oat recipe before going to bed and let’s just say…eating this was similar to a spiritual experience. I’ve tried overnight oat recipes before and got turned off with their glue-like texture, but this was so smooth and chock-full of goodness that I’m hooked!

I didn’t heat this up before eating. It’s been so hot outside, I pulled it out of the fridge, added the rest of the ingredients and ate it while I worked. It was good cold and felt like eating something hearty, but refreshing, which is rare. The recipe suggested using a mason jar, or bowl, but the bowl worked beautifully.
You could easily make more than one bowl to share with other people in the house, but for now, this girl is cooking for one.
