Here’s an update on a plant from this post here. I’ve literally been watching it bloom! It took all summer, but now she’s in bloom and you know what the best part is? She’s just getting started…

Have a peaceful weekend my lovelies!
Much love, Barb 🧡

there is an ebb and flow to God’s timing, and it’s not hurry scurry. :-) (When I step outside in the morning the past few weeks, I’ve noticed the flowers on a volunteer pumpkin plant They’re open in the morning, but close up during the heat of the day. That plant speaks to me…pace yourself, don’t try to be “on” all the time, don’t ignore the God given pace that is built into all creation. Even apple trees need several hundred hours of “down time” in order to produce fruit for the next season. Those are sure bright shiny leaves on that little darling!
You are correct DM…there’s no rush to God’s timing and plants are excellent teachers. I feel like I learn so much just by watching them! Your pumpkin plant is a fine example of what our natural rhythm should be like, but we tend to push through those restful afternoons. There’s no fruit until after the bloom, but there’s rest in order to bloom.
I’ve never seen such healthy leaves on a plant before, so even before the bloom it was beautiful to look at. Such a dark green color and shiny! 💚

Grab a warm cuppa and cozy up to inbarbsworld. I’m Barb, the writer behind this blog and I share through a clear, simple lens. I’ve lived a life filled with everything that money could buy, but in 2014 I left that life to feel myself living. Now, I know what abundance truly is and it can’t be bought.
