No What If’s

There’s a small, wooden sign hanging above my typewriter. As I type out those early morning thoughts by the light of a new day it serves as a reminder with the words, “Live a Good Story.”

I’ve tried my best to live a life of no regrets. It hasn’t been perfect, but instead of regretting choices made in the past, I take the lesson learned and keep moving forward. I really do want to live a good story and God is showing me how to truly live this life. I’m still in the learning curve, but I can tell you this much…it’s been ages since my last thought of the day, or first thought of the morning was, “What if?” When my story is complete, lovelies, I wanna know I got no what if’s.

Quite some time ago, I came to accept that no matter what choices I made, I was always doing the very best I could with what capabilities, understanding, etc. I had available at the time. If I could have done better, I would have. I do not have one regret about anything in my life. And I try to remember that about every other person as well. Not always so easy, but still true.

  I think you really hit the nail on the head with ‘capabilities available at the time’. As we grow, our toolbox expands which allows opportunity to continually ‘do better’. The truth is rarely easy. 💜
